PINPOINT SLC (A podcast about art and culture) |
|
Pinpoint SLC
picks the sweetest fruit from the blossoming Salt Lake City art and
culture scene and delivers it directly to your ears in weekly
delectable doses. Independent local media veterans bring SLC notables
onto the show to let them tell firsthand tales from the city’s creative
side. Podcasts fuse the intimacy of radio with the Net’s interactivity
to promote a community that is connected, cultured and informed. Viral
technology that allows any website to host the podcasts ensures they
will spread like fire through all online channels frequented by Salt
Lake art and culture enthusiasts, beginning with UtahFM’s already
exploding listenership.

UtahFM is proud to
be one of a handful of stations worldwide to announce support for
streaming audio directly to the Apple iPhone.
UtahFM's solution is relatively unique for iPhone users since it
doesn't require that the user download an application from Apple's App
Store but instead utilizes the Quicktime software already built into
the device. Mobile streams are available for the newer iPhone 3g as
well as older models. You'll need to have the iPhone 2.0 update and can connect to a high bitrate stream on the 3G network or WiFi connection; while a lower rate connection is offered for iPhones on the EDGE Network.
You'll enjoy UtahFM anywhere you can get a 3G or WiFi signal in high quality 128k stereo sound! Open utahfm.org in your iPhone, then click on the icon to launch the stream. Enjoy!
Please note if you don't have an unlimited data plan, additional fees may apply from your cellular phone provider.
